Surrey Mirror published 80-year-old grandmother has hair shaved for children's charity
An octogenarian grandmother from Bookham has undergone a grade two haircut, raising more than £700 for a children’s charity.Helen Huckle is one of the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity’s founding volunteers and to mark its 30th anniversary, she allowed her hairdresser Jackie cut off her hair in her garden on Friday October 21.The 80-year-old has been volunteering for the charity, which supports families with a child with a life threatening or terminal illness, since it was founded.READ…
